This distinctive ring from the "Lava"-collection in 925 sterling silver was carefully handcrafted in my studio in Vienna. Inspired by the form of a signet ring, its broad, flat upper section holds a 3.48 ct raw ruby measuring 11 × 7.5 mm. The stone was embedded directly into the wax model, allowing the surrounding surface to retain its softly melted, organic appearance when cast in silver. The raw character of the ruby and textured surface create a deliberate contrast with the otherwise precise, smooth form of the ring. The ring is size 54 and weighs 16.76 g.
